FINAL BLOG ENTRY :(

Throughout the course of the semester, the English 320 class has had an assignment for every other week to write a blog entry of our choosing. Most of the time an option was given to us if we didn't have any ideas about what to write. Due to wanting to dig deeper into the NDSU community, I chose to title my website "NDSU Unmasked" which opened up an unlimited amount of research into the college, activities, sports, and even multiple events that have happened thus far in the Fall semester of 2021. Although I am not a huge fan of English because it is not one of my best traits, I really enjoyed the blog entry assignment. The reason being is due to having to research anything that I wanted to which gave me a great amount of freedom and boosted my creativity throughout the website.

In the beginning, it was difficult for me to understand how much freedom I was given. The reason being is because I have never had a teacher/professor give the option to do so as they have specific details to every assignment. Although there was a great amount of freedom to write whatever I chose, I always had a mental block which became difficult to come up with a story line along with a title. I did not enjoy the mental blocks. Honestly, I don't think anyone does due to an enhanced frustration level along with creating a huge amount of stress on oneself. In the end, I also believe that mental blocks turn into a great resource of success. The reason being is because mental blocks challenge your mind in a way of thinking along with re-evaluates priorities. Overall, I enjoyed writing blog entries throughout the course of this semester.

PROS AND CONS TO CREATING A WEBSITE

PROS:

1. Enhances creativity

2. Freedom of speech and or opinion

3. Personalization

4. Learn up-to-date topics

5. Boosts knowledge/research

6. Able to reach a wider range of audience

7. Easy and accessible

CONS:

1. Creates mental block

2. May attract the wrong audience

3. Needs constant updates

4. Needs to have a credible resource to back up opinion
